We are all so busy ! Work, children, spouse, housework, parents, siblings, volunteer work,… As a working mum myself, I know we often come last on our list of priorities ! And taking care of our health can sometimes take a back-seat. Until something serious forces us to reconsider.Read More »
I have always worn make-up to work. Not an outrageous amount, just a bit of foundation and powder, a bit of eye-liner and mascara.
For years, I have cherished the morning routine of applying my make-up. Sometimes, it was just a nice bit of pampering. Sometimes, it was a way of preparing myself for the day ahead. And sometimes, before an important meeting or presentation, it was a way to put on my war paints, to get ready to face the challenges ahead, at my best. I never in a million years imagined that I would one day stop wearing make-up to go to work.
And yet, a few weeks ago I started reducing my make-up routine and then stopped completely. Read More »
One month passed already and we are in November ! It’s not that cold yet in Wales but it is definitely darker, especially after 5pm. Christmas is already just around the corner too.

Sometimes I miss my girls so much during the day in work… Today was one of these days. I was reading the online papers and stumbled upon a picture of a very young baby, with its tiny head resting in the hand of its dad. Reducing our household waste has become my new obsession. It breaks my heart that we throw between 2 and 3 full bin bags out every week, and that’s not counting nappies nor food waste. Granted, 95% of the content of the bags is recyclable, but recycling is not the same as not producing in the first place. So Lion and I are committed to reducing our waste by 30%. But it has to be hassle-free, as we have busy schedules and if it is too much effort, we won’t keep it up in the long term.
Again, I am awfully late. I am not doing great with the blog these days… September has been a great month so worth updating you !Read More »
